Monochrome
Black and white photography is still as popular as it always was. There are those who continue to work with film, process it in their own darkrooms and print using the same methods that have been used for the past 100 years. I have to admit there was some charm in watching an image appear in the developing tray but I would not go back to it.
Producing digital black and white images is very enjoyable as most of the work can be carried out on the computer.
The epson printer I use now produces remarkable monochrome prints as well as colour, having 8 separate inks and using only black and gray ink to print momochrome.
Black and white is less forgiving than colour and will show up faults far more readily, but the results are very satisfying.
