About me As professional Portrait photographer for over 25 years, I worked in London and the East of England, mostly Essex. I retired from professional photography in 1993 but continued taking portraits for some years after that. During my professional career I won several awards, including the prestigious GOLD Award for portraiture, from KODAK. I am a past President of The Master Photographer's Association and whilst officiating as their President I was also the chairman of the qualifications panel. I have lectured on Portraiture in England and other parts of the world but now, through choice, do very little commissioned portrait work. 4 years ago I decided to turn to landscape photography in my spare time and in 2003 invested in digital equipment and now ALL my work is taken with a digital camera. The freedom I enjoy taking what I want, when I want, is far more rewarding than being confined to a studio for the majority of the week. Photography is a passion and with the scenery we are blessed with in Britain, I don't have to travel too far to find a landscape that cries out to be captured with my camera. Although I do travel abroad I am most at home either in the Countryside or the coastline of Cornwall. I have visited Scotland only once but have fallen in love with the breathtaking landscapes I saw. I will be returning at the earliest oppotunity. This site is being updated to exhibit the work I have taken at the end of 2004 and the past few months of 2005, which includes a recent trip to Scotland and more particularly, the Isle of Skye.
